ABOUT ME:

My name is Ziga and I am from Slovenia. For the past 10 years, I have been living abroad in countries such as Scotland, Germany, The Netherlands, and Brazil where I currently call home, and which has given me a deeper appreciation for different cultures and languages. I love exploring new cultures, trying new things (especially food), and connecting with people from all over the world, which is one of the reasons I love being a teacher.

I consider myself a creative person who loves to explore every aspect of life and loves to express myself through art, music, and writing. I also enjoy watching old movies, reading in the evening, and going for a walk anywhere where I can be surrounded by nature.

ME AS A TEACHER:

I am an English teacher with over 8 years of teaching experience. In this period I have given thousands of lessons to hundreds of students from all over the world (from South America, Europe, and Asia!), both young and old so I have experience no matter the student’s age and learning difficulties. I am from Slovenia but living abroad for the last 10 years where I had to use English in my daily life so I know the importance of knowing a language like it. Learning a new language is hard and sometimes stressful so I know how important it is to create a fun and relaxing learning environment with interesting topics, engaging conversation, and useful tips.

In my lessons, I like to focus on my student’s strengths and work on their “weaknesses” to help them build, not only fluency, but also confidence and make them sound natural while speaking. I love making learning engaging, practical, and fun—whether it's through real-life conversations, cultural insights, or just sharing my passion for exploring the world. I am also certified in TEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge!
